These are the exercises for the last weeks of the course:
First approach to the muscles of the torso. The main point of this exercises is more about learning the basic construction of the main muscle groups, their volumes and relationships with the body movement rather than an accurate anatomical study.
By the way, tried a Cintiq for doing these ones. What a great, great toy.
Second round of drawings, this time we had to focus on finding the body 'landmarks', connections of the body masses and the understanding of the perspective of chest, hips, arms and legs. Learning this stuff is fun, go to art school everybody!
A couple of weeks ago I joined an online class at the CGMA academy, 'Analytical Figure Drawing', taught by Michael Hampton. Here are the first week assignment sketches, 100 (or so) gesture drawings.
Now I have no free time at all, but it's totally worth it, I'm having a blast.
